Bornali Das, the Secretary of the Society for Mental Health in LAMIC (SoMHiL) has been nominated as an Editorial Board member of the National Journal of Professional Social (http://ispsw.in/index.php/journal) which is the official journal of the Indian Society of Professional Social Work (ISPSW).

ARCANA-ECHO Internship Program: Felicitation ceremony

The ongoing ‘ARCANA-ECHO Internship program’, consisting of 12 weekly sessions, trains psychologists. The sessions follow the ECHO model of training through case-based discussions and updates on clinical guidelines and best practices. They are didactic and interactive. Twenty to 25 participants attend each session. The experts at these sessions are clinical psychologist, psychiatric social worker, and psychiatrist from SoMHiL.

On 4th December 2020, the mentors Shyamanta Das (Editor-in-Chief of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Mythili Hazarika (President of SoMHiL), Bornali Das (Secretary of SoMHiL) and Atanu Baruah felicitated the experts for their contribution.

The Editorial Board Member of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Prof. (Dr.) Russell Franco D’Souza, MD, spoke on ‘Embitterment and Post Traumatic Embitterment Disorder and Productivity’ in the fifth event of the webinar series, “Global Psychiatry: A LAMIC Perspective”. Prof. (Dr.) Russell is the Executive Director and Dean, International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine (IIOPM), Australia: USA: UK. The opening remarks was delivered by Kailash Karthik N, IAS, Deputy Commisioner, Kamrup (R), State of Assam, Republic of India. The session was moderated by Uddip Talukdar, MD, Executive Editor of OJPAS®.
